A Flexible Learning Enviornment
Traditional brick-and-mortar schools may not always be the best option for student-athletes. At the Players’ Academy, we put the student-athlete at the forefront of their education. Our hybrid approach blends the personalization and flexibility of online learning with the structure and support of traditional schools.

Our learning coaches are experienced educators who understand the unique needs of student-athletes and can provide perosnalized academic support tailored to each student’s learning pathway.
Individual Development Plans
We believe every student-athlete has unique talents and abilities that require an individual approach to their development. Our individual development plans incorporate a variety of academic and athletic goals, and we track the program through regular assessments and feedback.

A Creating A Tireless Will To Succeed
At the Players’ Academy, we recognize that every student-athlete is different, so we tailor each student’s experience to match their abilities, needs, interests, and goals. Our talent development program is hyper focused on the individual creating a player-first enviornment. We work in partnership with a student-athlete’s club or AAU program to create a comprehensive plan that meets both the academic and athletic goals of the student-athlete.
High Performance Coaching
Our performance coaches work with athletes to create an individualized training plan that integrates strength and conditioning, speed and agility, injury prevention, and recovery. We also provide guidance on nutrition and mental wellness as these factors are crucial to elite performance.
World Class Training Facilities
We partner with world-class training facilities to help student-athletes achieve their full potential. Our facilities include state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor training spaces equipped with the latest technology to enhance performance.
Technical and Sport Specific Coaches
The Players’ Academy technical and sport-specific coaches are highly experienced and skilled professionals in their respective sports. They are dedicted to providing the best possible training to help student-athletes improve their athletic abilities, master new techniques and advance their performance in their chosen sport.
Players' Academy Leadership
Jim Pierce
Jim is an educator with 20 years of experience as a successful teacher, school administrator, curriculum designer, and new school founder. He holds a master’s degree in Instructional Design and School Leadership with a focus on instructional technology from Drexel University. He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Learning Analytics with a research focus on the development of dual-career student-athletes.
In 2010, Jim joined YSC Academy and The Philadelphia Union, helping to lead the launch of the countries first sport-specific high school partnered with a professional sports team. In 2018, he formed Oxford Sports Group a highly specialized consulting group focused on integrating academics and athletics for high-performing student-athletes.
James Dennis
James Dennis is a sports technology strategist and media consultant with more than 20 years of global experience in sports data. As the Head of Global Sports for ChyronHego, James helps the world’s largest sports brands and most popular sports leagues refine, understand, and utilize sports data more efficiently.
Prior to joining ChryonHego, James was CEO of OPTA USA, managing the successful expansion of the Opta brand into the US market as Official Live Data Provider to Major League Soccer. His sports business consultancy clients include Univision Deportes, Major League Soccer, Ortec, Gist, Gracenote, and Edge10. James is also the Chairman of the NYC Board for Kick4Life F.C.
